Alexandre Peressin

Alexandre Peressin has a PhD in Applied Ecology, with a thesis focused on fish migrations and the effects of biotelemetry tagging on fishes. Currently, he is a postdoctoral researcher investigating the impacts of connectivity loss caused by irrigation dams and road crossings on fish assemblages using environmental DNA. His professional background includes research in fish ecology, as well as conducting diagnostics for environmental licensing, certification processes, and ecological mitigation strategies - particularly those related to hydropower plants - across several river basins in Brazil.
