Meet Dr. Elizabeth Anderson
Principal Investigator | Associate Professor
Elizabeth's story begins in Atlanta, Georgia, USA, where she spent her youth and completed both undergraduate and graduate degrees (PhD, Ecology) at the University of Georgia. Since then, her professional journey has taken her from Georgia across the Earth in exploration of diverse freshwater systems and people, and the interactions between them.
Elizabeth is currently an Associate Professor in FIU's Department of Earth and Environment. Prior to this appointment, she served in other capacities at FIU as Director of International Research Programs for the School of Environment, Arts, & Society, worked with USAID's Global Water for Sustainability Program, supported Andes-Amazon conservation with the Field Museum of Natural History, and coordinated undergraduate field research experiences with the Organization for Tropical Studies in Costa Rica.
