Ellie Risher
Ellie Risher is a graduate student pursuing a master’s degree in environmental engineering at FIU. During her time at FIU, she has had the privilege of working as a fellow for the Department of Energy, interning at the Carlsbad Field Office, and interning at Drummond Carpenter, PLLC. Through these opportunities, she has developed a background in lab work, fieldwork, hydrologic modeling, GIS, and water resources. She aspires to apply her engineering background to ecological restoration and conservation projects, as well as to developing ecological solutions that address climate change.
Ellie is a recipient of the Roy G. Post Foundation scholarship, which was awarded at the 2026 Waste Management Symposia.
