Alice Daria
Alice Daria is a PhD student interested in environmental policy and governance. Her work focuses on how people understand and engage with environmental issues, particularly water resources and ecosystem restoration in Florida. Her current research examines public perceptions of spring flow management, policy analysis of Outstanding Florida Springs, and how environmental organizations navigate conflict and decision-making around natural resource management. She is also interested in environmental advocacy and science communication, especially with regards to connecting ecological research with effective conservation policy.
Alice is the Everglades Fellow with the National Parks Conservation Association where she engages in public outreach, lobbies for national park issues, and works on land-use issues involving development encroachment in the Everglades. She is the recipient of several grants, including the Lewis and Clark Fund for Exploration and Field Research. She graduated in 2021 from Florida Atlantic University where she earned her M.S. in Biology.
